Traveling back up to Dublin decided to shoot a timelapse on the way up. Have been wanting to do one of these for a while and now the evenings have more light I decided to try one out. It was a lovely evening and great conditions for driving. You should watch this big.
Timelapse shot on a D7000 over the course of a 2.75hrs journey from Boyle in Ireland to Dublin. The camera was mounted on a tripod in the back of the car with two of the legs splayed and wedged into the footwells on each side of the car. the third leg was wedged against the back seat pushing the tripod against the two front seats. It was very secure. Half way there I actually stopped and got out to change the card thinking it was full, it actually stopped shooting for some reason. Then I realised there was a second 8gig card in the camera, so I just set it going again.
The camera was set to take a shot every 5 seconds and it was on auto iso and auto everything really as I knew it was going to get dark and I wanted the camera to compensate. Worked out pretty well I think.
